USA vs Europe
USA vs Europe, the two superpowers
These are the two largest powers today, at least the most central ones, really. USA and Eurozone countries, otherwise called EU. People in US may not appreciate the full power of the old world sometimes. It has all the tradition that USA lacks and there is a lot of power in tradition, as well. You may want to appreciate it. When you visit Europe for the first time as an American, it will surprise you with the sometimes 1000 year old architecture monuments and different old buildings designed often with style, grace and other great characteristics.
Visitors from USA may find that Europe is not that ''retarded" after all. Keeping in touch with the old traditions, it is now developing at an accelerated pace, as well. Especially true of the Eastern Europe, where the countries have just broke free from the overbearing influence of the Soviet Union. There still may be some economical issues, but they are being resolved, as well.
I have always recommended for the people from Eastern Europe to visit USA and see how life is there. Not surprisingly, the people visiting USA and then coming back are shocked by the level of difference in lifestyle and overall quality of life. Eastern Europe is literally centuries behind in many ways. In some ways it is still ahead. Like the level of education, for example. P
eople are really smart there, but they do not know how to use it to their advantage, sometimes. Remember to work efficiently, which is also smart. Not necessarily hard work always brings the best results. Only when combined with the concepts of working right and working smart it brings good fruit. This is something for the people of Eastern Europe to understand better.
What I would recommend for a tourist from USA going to visit Europe. First of all, be prepared of the differences. The comfort is not such as in America. I mean the convenience stores that are everywhere in USA, for example. Same is true of different other things. USA has made life simpler and more efficient, not so true about Europe usually. Some things can be made complicated by bureaucracy there, just be prepared not to get frustrated too soon, because there still are many great things to see and experience there! Remember that patience is your best friend when going to Europe.
Things are not so bad, after all. For somebody wishing to travel the world, you have to be prepared for different surprises. Cultures differ, so do individuals. But essentially, people are the same everywhere, so just try to be tolerant towards the more "retarded" Europeans..because it may turn out that they might be surpassing Americans in so many other different ways. Advancement of the financial system, social system, monetary system, etc. is not always everything you may need in order to enjoy the best life and be happy. Sure, America has done so many great things to be proud of and for others to admire! I am not denying this fact ever. But you see, there are things in Europe which attract Americans like honey attracts bees. Why? Because there are things in USA that are simply non-existant. Like old buildings and arhitceture as a good example. United States have been around only for two good centuries, still being a ''baby nation''. Maybe this is also why sometimes people from other nations say that Americans are like kids. But I say that by keeping an open mind - like kids do - serves best when development is needed. And Americans haven't looked back since the outset, I will admit that!
Just enjoy the New Year, whichever nation you are from!
